Modern history’s full of designers who’ve lent their face and name to everyday products, but what is it with the drinks? Karl Lagerfeld lent his name to Coca-Cola while Roberto Cavalli teamed up with Diet Coke. Missoni teamed up with Pellegrino last year. Jean Paul Gaultier, Issey Miyake, Paul Smith, and Christian Lacroix have all designed bottles for Evian. Betsey Johnson whipped up a bottle of Chambord and Jeremy Scott went crazy for Tanqueray.
And now, Vivienne Wetwood’s teamed up with Cool Earth to promote their instant coffee. The British brand donates a tree in the rainforest for every container that it sells. Though caffeine and charity don’t exactly go together like peanut butter and jelly, if anyone can save the rainforest by selling coffee it’s Dame Viv.
